Evelyn Partners, SummitX, Cetera Trim Visa Stakes; Insiders Sell Shares

Evelyn Partners Investment Management LLP cut its holdings in Visa Inc., according to a recent Form 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The institutional investor now owns 351,875 shares of the credit-card processor’s stock after selling 10,181 shares during the period. That holding made Visa its eighth-largest position, valued at approximately $106,351,000 at the end of the most recent quarter.

Several other institutional investors also adjusted their positions. Invariant Investment Management purchased a new stake in Visa during the fourth quarter, worth about $969,000. Nixon Peabody Trust Co., Vanguard Group Inc., Savvy Advisors Inc., and Wealth Enhancement Trust Services Inc. also reported changes in their Visa holdings.

Separately, SummitX Capital LP reduced its Visa stake. The firm sold 12,929 shares during the quarter, leaving it with 18,296 shares valued at $5,530,000, according to its SEC filing. Other moves included Brighton Jones LLC acquiring an additional 6,883 shares, Revolve Wealth Partners LLC adding 4,817 shares, and Schnieders Capital Management LLC adjusting its position.

Cetera Investment Advisers trimmed its Visa holdings as well. The firm sold 14,057 shares, ending the period with 834,891 shares worth $252,337,000. Additional smaller purchases came from FOCUS Wealth Advisors LLC, Frederick Financial Consultants LLC, Spinnaker Investment Group LLC, and Kuhn & Co Investment Counsel.

Insider activity also drew attention. CFO Chris Suh sold 10,639 shares on May 12th, while CEO Ryan Mcinerney sold 10,490 shares on July 1st. General Counsel Julie B. Rottenberg sold 2,027 shares on July 2nd. All transactions were executed under pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plans. Over the past three months, insiders sold a total of 75,581 shares, valued at $25,627,975.

Visa last announced quarterly earnings on April 28th. Analysts have a generally positive outlook: eight rate the stock a Strong Buy, nineteen a Buy, and one a Hold. Recent upgrades include Clear Street raising Visa to Strong Buy and Erste Group Bank upgrading to Buy. Loop Capital initiated coverage with an Outperform rating. Weiss Ratings upgraded from Hold to Buy.
