The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the counselling schedule for admissions in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in 2024. The registration and choice-filling process will commence on June 10, according to the official schedule provided by JoSAA. Candidates who have qualified the JEE Main 2024 and JEE Advanced 2024 exams can register for the counselling process.

Through the counselling process, students will secure admission in BTech programs in the government IITs, NITs, and other prestigious institutes. The JoSAA counselling for BTech admissions will be conducted in five rounds. This online process will be based on the candidates’ exam scores and the cut-offs issued by the institutes.

The JEE Advanced 2024 results are scheduled to be announced on June 9 on the official website jeeadv.ac.in. The exam was conducted on May 26 for candidates who cleared the JEE Mains 2024. The JEE Main 2024 results were declared on April 24, with 56 candidates achieving a perfect NTA score.

Registrations and choice-filling for JoSAA counselling will be open from June 10 onwards. The choice filling will close on June 18, 2024. Mock seat allocation rounds will be held on June 15 and June 17 to help candidates understand seat allocation procedures based on their preferences.

The online reporting for round 1, including fee payment, document upload, and candidate response to queries, will take place from June 20 to June 25, 2024. The final date for candidate response (round 1) is June 26, 2024. Subsequent rounds of seat allocation will follow suit on June 27, 2024.
