Teyana Taylor Dazzles in Custom Suit at 2025 Met Gala

New York, NY — Teyana Taylor turned heads at the 2025 Met Gala on May 5, showcasing a stunning custom Marc Jacobs suit as part of this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The star walked the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art confidently donned in a gray pinstripe suit featuring a nearly floor-length coat and bold red accents, including leather gloves and a feathered top hat.

“This year’s theme inspired me to bring something regal and unique to the carpet,” Taylor said. “Fashion is about expression, and I wanted to honor my roots.” Taylor, who is known for her eclectic style, also wore exquisite jewelry by David Yurman to complete her look.

Ahead of the gala, Taylor collaborated with Ruth E. Carter, a two-time Oscar winner renowned for her work on films like Black Panther. “Working with Ruth has always been a dream,” Taylor said. “We wanted to create something that resonates with the theme and showcases Black excellence.”

Last year, Taylor made waves with a striking floral-themed ensemble that matched the night’s theme, while in 2023, she wowed attendees in a skintight dress featuring extreme cutouts.

Other celebrities also made a mark on the red carpet. Halle Bailey arrived in a chic mini blazer dress from Coach, paired with a beaded net veil. The Little Mermaid star is currently busy filming a new musical comedy and a mystery project titled Italianna alongside Regé-Jean Page.

Co-chairs of the event, including Colman Domingo and Pharrell Williams, also dazzled the crowd with their tailored outfits. “The Met Gala is a celebration of creativity and identity,” Domingo said. “We are excited to shine a light on Black culture and style.”
