Maverick McNealy Prepares for PGA Championship Amid Luxurious Legacy

Augusta, GA — Maverick McNealy is getting ready for this month’s PGA Championship, passionately pursuing golf despite being an heir to a multi-billion dollar fortune. The 29-year-old, who grew up in a wealthy family, continues to follow his dreams rather than entering a business career.
McNealy, who married his wife Maya in 2023, credits her for supporting him throughout his career. They met in Las Vegas when she worked at a physical therapy clinic, and their relationship flourished over the years. McNealy praises Maya for her sacrifices as she frequently travels to watch him compete.
“Maya knew her job, if it went well today, was to get my parents on the phone as soon as possible after my win at the RSM Classic last year,” McNealy recounted. “I’m the luckiest guy ever,” he added, highlighting Maya’s role in his life.
Maya has embraced golf alongside her husband, even competing in the annual Par 3 contest at the Masters this year. She also shared insights into McNealy’s other passion—flying. “He watches airplane videos whenever he isn’t on the golf course,” she said.
McNealy is a licensed pilot and has expressed his enjoyment of balancing both pursuits. “I told her I was going to start getting my pilot’s license, and she looked at me like I had three heads,” he said, showing appreciation for her support in every aspect of his life.
