Corey Conners Highlights Underrated Talents in Golf This Season

Augusta, Georgia — Canadian golfer Corey Conners is shining on the PGA Tour in the 2025 season, ranking seventh in the FedExCup with five top-10 finishes. Despite not securing a win, his strong performances in major tournaments have garnered attention.
Conners has achieved top finishes in significant events, including T6 at THE PLAYERS Championship and T8 at the Masters, showcasing his improvement and consistent play. This marks the first time he has cracked the top-20 in both of the year’s initial majors, elevating him to 19th in the Official World Golf Ranking — a career best.
A key factor in Conners’ success has been his putting. Historically below average, this season he has performed slightly above average on the greens, gaining strokes in seven of his last nine starts. ‘I’ve worked hard on my putting, and it’s finally beginning to show,’ Conners said.
Fellow golfer Daniel Berger is also experiencing a resurgence, currently 15th in the FedExCup after successfully overcoming chronic back issues. He has made the cut in his last 10 events, consistently displaying his pre-injury form.
Another golfer making headlines is Bridgeman, who has risen to 23rd in the FedExCup in his second full season. His advanced putting skills have helped him secure multiple top-10 finishes, though he missed the cut at his first major.
Veteran golfer Keegan Bradley, rich with experience, is quietly enjoying one of his best seasons. Ranking fifth in strokes gained tee-to-green, he has three top-10 finishes this year. Discussions about his potential role in the Ryder Cup are gaining traction.
Newcomer Ryan Gerard is also making a name for himself. His best finish of T8 at the PGA Championship highlights a strong season, putting him 33rd in the FedExCup standings. With three top-10 finishes already, Gerard emphasizes the importance of seizing opportunities on the big stage.
As these players continue to elevate their performances, the spotlight in golf may shift from the traditional leaders to these emerging talents who are shaping the 2025 season.
