Harrison Ford Gene Simmons Operation Smile Gala

LOS ANGELES, California – Legendary actor Harrison Ford and KISS rocker Gene Simmons will be honored at Operation Smile‘s annual Smile Fiesta gala on June 3. The event aims to raise funds for children’s healthcare, particularly for those in need of life-saving surgical procedures.

Ford will receive the Dr. Randy Sherman Visionary Award, named in memory of the late founder of Operation Smile’s Southern California chapter. Simmons will be presented with the Universal Smile Award. The Rodosky family, who’ve actively supported the organization, will also be recognized with the Philanthropic Leadership Award.

Founded in 1982 by Dr. Bill and Kathy Magee, Operation Smile is committed to providing cleft lip and palate surgeries to children around the world. The nonprofit builds on the belief that “safe surgery is not a privilege, but a universal human right.” Since 2022, the organization has expanded its services, operating 38 smile centers globally.

The Los Angeles Smile Fiesta will showcase Operation Smile’s impact across twelve Latin American countries, including Brazil and Ecuador. The floral-themed gala will take place at Candela La Brea, accommodating 300 attendees.

“Extra” host Billy Bush will emcee the event, while honorary chairs include Brooke Burke and Roma Downey. Special performances will feature artists Valeria Mason, Carmit Bachar, Ty Taylor, and DJ Leslee.

Tickets for the gala are now available, with all proceeds benefiting Operation Smile Los Angeles.
