OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The Tennessee Lady Vols softball team (46-16) faces elimination in the Women’s College World Series (WCWS) with a crucial game against UCLA (55-12) on June 1. The matchup is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET at Devon Park.

The Lady Vols secured their spot in the elimination game after a tough loss against Oklahoma, where they blew a two-run lead in the seventh inning on May 29. However, they avoided early elimination with a strong comeback performance on May 30, defeating Oregon in five innings.

UCLA, which suffered its first loss of the tournament on May 31, fell to Texas Tech with a score of 3-1. The Bruins will need to regroup quickly, as the winner of this game will advance to face the Texas Longhorns in the national semifinals on June 2.

The stakes are high for both teams, as this game not only determines who continues in the tournament but also keeps their national championship hopes alive. Tennessee’s ace, Karlyn Pickens, is projected to pitch against UCLA’s lineup, which struggled in their recent outing.

Fans can watch the game on ABC, with streaming options available through the ESPN app. The championship series will start on June 4, leading up to the finals, which will conclude by June 6 if a decisive game is required.
