Leah Remini Addresses Friendship with Jennifer Lopez Amid Wedding Speculation

LOS ANGELES, CA — Leah Remini, 54, clarified her friendship with Jennifer Lopez, 55, as speculation lingered about their bond following Lopez’s wedding to Ben Affleck in 2022. In a recent interview, Remini explained that she missed the wedding due to family commitments, including moving her daughter, Sofia, into college.

Remini stressed that there has never been any rift between the two. She noted, “Sometimes you don’t talk to people every day like you used to, but that doesn’t mean the love is lost.” Remini and Lopez have maintained their friendship since they first met in 2004.

After both women faced divorces, with Lopez finalizing her divorce this year, they reconnected and exchanged supportive messages. “We’d text each other loving messages of support,” Remini shared. “I cherish my friendships, and not everybody is meant to be in your life in the way that they were.”

The actress also mentioned her friendships with others in the industry, including Michelle Visage, Holly Robinson, Tisha Campbell, and Chelsea Handler. Remini described these friendships as her “lifeline.”

Despite the distance and moments apart, she emphasized that true friendships endure through various phases of life. “Friendships ebb and flow,” Remini said. “That doesn’t mean we’re at odds.” She added, “There’s no drama. Just different seasons in life.”
