Salt Lake City Sets New Heat Record Amid Upcoming Storm

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Salt Lake City experienced its hottest day of 2025 on Sunday.
The National Weather Service reported a high of 95 degrees at the Salt Lake City International Airport around 1:30 p.m., breaking the previous record of 94 degrees set in 2020. This marks the hottest June 1 on record for the city.

In St. George, there is a chance of rain overnight with a low of 69 degrees. The Monday forecast calls for scattered rain and thunderstorms, reaching a high of 83 degrees.
