Candace Owens Erika Kirk Husband Death

NEW YORK, NY — Candace Owens has denied accusations made by Ben Shapiro that she claimed Erika Kirk was responsible for her husband Charlie Kirk‘s death. Owens, a prominent conservative commentator, pushed back during a segment on social media, calling Shapiro a liar for his statements on The Megyn Kelly Show.

“He said that I accused Erika Kirk of murdering Charlie Kirk. This quite literally is made up out of thin air,” Owens wrote on X, seeking further engagement from Shapiro on her show. She emphasized that these claims were unfounded, asserting that she had never insinuated such an accusation.

Erika Kirk, who is now the CEO of Turning Point USA, made a public appeal for compassion shortly after her husband’s death during a tragic event in Utah. In an interview with Fox News, she urged social media users to think carefully before posting comments that could affect her children, stating, “Some grace would be nice.”

Candace Owens expressed her frustration, posting on X that Shapiro “lied through his teeth” while attempting to sway public opinion against her. She also echoed a fan’s comment criticizing Shapiro’s tendency to “smear and misrepresent” others within their political circle. Owens described Shapiro’s behavior as “completely deranged” and accused him of twisting her words to gain attention.

During his appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show, Shapiro claimed, “What Candace Owens is doing right now is evil.” He contrasted her actions with what would have happened if someone on the political left made such claims. Owens responded by reiterating that she never made any accusation against Erika Kirk.

Additionally, following Charlie Kirk’s death, Owens alluded to potential underlying issues regarding Turning Point USA, bringing up vague hints of potential cover-ups but did not provide specific evidence to back her claims.
