MONTREAL, Canada – The Montreal Canadiens will host the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night, with goaltender Samuel Montembeault getting the starting nod. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. ET as part of the Canadiens’ Military Appreciation Night at the Bell Centre.

Fifteen players participated in an optional skate earlier in the day, which included key forwards like Cole Caufield and captain Nick Suzuki. Montembeault has been a reliable option for the Canadiens this season and will aim to bolster their defense against a challenging Kings team.

Head coach Martin St-Louis confirmed Montembeault’s start, marking an important moment for the team as they face off against a tough opponent. “Every game is a chance to improve and show what we can do,” St-Louis stated. “Samuel has shown that he can handle the pressure.”

Fans attending the game should note there will be no metro or bus service between 5:45 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. due to a strike by STM staff, and are advised to plan their commute accordingly.

As part of the appreciation night, the Canadiens are expected to honor veterans and active military members, elevating the significance of the match against the Kings.

Montembeault’s performance tonight could play a crucial role in determining the outcome of the game. The Canadiens are looking to build momentum as they strive for a stronger season.
