Edmonton Oilers Vs Columbus Blue Jackets

Columbus, OH – The Edmonton Oilers close out a back-to-back set on Thursday against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena. This game follows the Oilers’ overtime victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday.

Jack Roslovic scored the winning goal in overtime, marking his second consecutive game in which he secured a victory for Edmonton. The Oilers are looking to extend their winning streak to three games tonight.

Roslovic is returning to his hometown for the first time since joining the Oilers, bringing with him a notable performance streak. He scored the overtime winner against the Blue Jackets just three days earlier, demonstrating his clutch scoring ability.

“We knew going in that we were going to have to be patient,” said Oilers Head Coach Kris Knoblauch after the win against Philadelphia. “Philadelphia is one of the better defensive teams, and I thought the guys did a pretty good job overall.”

In their previous meeting this week, the Oilers defeated the Blue Jackets 5-4 after overcoming a three-goal deficit. The Oilers are now looking to snap a four-game losing streak in Columbus, dating back to their last victory against the Blue Jackets on October 30, 2019.

Columbus is looking to bounce back after its last game, which ended in a shootout victory against the Seattle Kraken. “It’s nice to finish off this trip, especially coming off (Monday’s game),” said Blue Jackets goaltender Jet Greaves, who played his second straight game.

As Roslovic continues his scoring streak and the Oilers aim higher, all eyes will be on the action at Nationwide Arena.
