Kraken Seek Second Win Over Jets Amid Struggles

Kraken Vs Jets Game November 2025

SEATTLE, Washington — The Seattle Kraken aim to defeat the Winnipeg Jets for the second time this season during a matchup on Thursday night at Climate Pledge Arena. The Kraken previously achieved a 3-0 victory in Manitoba in late October.

Head coach Lane Lambert emphasized the importance of a shoot-first mentality. He noted that despite recording 187 shot attempts over their last three games, the team managed only six goals. More than half of those attempts either missed the net or were blocked by opponents, resulting in a mere 44 percent success rate for shots reaching the net.

“That is not good enough,” Lambert stated following an optional practice. “We’re taking too long to get shots away. Fractions of seconds sooner can mean the difference between getting a shot on goal or having it blocked.” He urged players to prioritize shooting over passing to enhance scoring opportunities.

Ben Meyers, the standout fourth-line center, assisted on the Kraken’s lone goal in Tuesday’s game and has become a valuable player in the offensive zone. Lambert praised Meyers for using his speed and aggressiveness, saying, “We want him to keep playing the way he is. He’s owning the puck in the offensive zone.”

The Jets, sitting at 10-6-0 overall, are seeking to regain momentum after some recent struggles. After a rough start to their current road trip, which included losses to the Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, and Anaheim Ducks, Winnipeg secured a win against the Vancouver Canucks on Monday.

Mark Scheifele, leading the Jets with nine goals, will be crucial in the upcoming game against a Kraken team noted for participating in numerous one-goal contests this season. Winnipeg’s power play showed improvement against Vancouver, converting two of four opportunities.

As the game approaches, both teams are focused on strengthening their offensive efforts. The Kraken hope to keep their momentum alive while the Jets aim for continuation of their recent success. “We need to make the most of every shot,” Lambert concluded.
