Classroom on Wheels Unveiled at Acrisure Stadium for Local Students
PITTSBURGH, PA — The Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Foundation and the Boys and Girls Club revealed a new classroom on wheels, a fully electric cyber bus, on Friday outside Acrisure Stadium.
This innovative vehicle is designed to bring STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education directly to students. It features interactive technology to engage learners and enhance their educational experience.
The cyber bus was donated by Blue Bird, known for its commitment to sustainable transportation. Organizers hope the initiative will eliminate travel barriers for students, making it easier for them to access quality education.
Students expressed their enthusiasm about the new resource. McKeesport student Josiah Pritchett-Murray shared, “For most kids, it’s hard to get a ride, so that driving around, picking kids up… that’s pretty cool.”
This effort aims not only to provide convenient learning opportunities but also to inspire a love for STEAM subjects among young learners.
