Emails Mention Trump, Epstein in Controversial Report Ignored by Fox News
WASHINGTON, D.C. — A controversial report highlighting President Donald Trump’s name in emails related to Jeffrey Epstein has sparked significant media attention, particularly due to Fox News’ delayed coverage. The emails were released on November 12, 2025, and reference troubling connections between Epstein and high-profile figures.
In emails exchanged between Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein referred to Trump as the ‘dog that hasn’t barked’ and claimed an alleged victim had spent hours with Trump at his residence. These comments emerged from a message dated April 2, 2011, which has drawn scrutiny from many quarters. Epstein stated, ‘I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.. [Victim] spent hours at my house with him.’
Fox News, however, did not address the emails until several hours later. Washington correspondent Mark Meredith first reported on the story at 11:07 a.m. ET, noting upcoming developments from the House Oversight Committee without elaborating on the emails. CNN media reporter Brian Stelter tweeted his confusion regarding Fox’s lack of immediate coverage, highlighting that the network moved on without explaining the ‘new developments.’
By around 1 p.m. ET, Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Peter Doocy briefly referenced the emails during a preview of a White House press briefing. He mentioned that officials described the emails as ‘selectively leaked’ but did not provide further details about their content.
The lack of coverage from Fox News contrasts sharply with the responses from other networks, leading to questions about editorial choices regarding sensitive topics potentially impacting high-profile political figures.
As ongoing investigations continue, the backlash from the Epstein emails is expected to extend beyond Capitol Hill, sparking discussions about media integrity and journalistic practices in politically contentious narratives.
