Frozen Actors Idina Menzel Kristen Bell Josh Gad

BURBANK, Calif. — Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, and Josh Gad are set to earn significant paydays for their roles in the upcoming Frozen movies. The trio, who previously earned $15 million each for Frozen II, will reportedly make $60 million each for the third and fourth installments in the franchise.

The deals, which include both upfront fees and backend bonuses, were confirmed by multiple sources. Each actor is expected to receive $20 million upfront, with additional bonuses linked to the films’ box-office success.

Disney CEO revealed in November 2023 that the fourth Frozen movie was already in development alongside the third. These films continue a franchise that has proved immensely profitable, with the first Frozen movie grossing $1.2 billion and Frozen II earning $1.45 billion globally.

Jennifer Lee will return as director for Frozen 3. While the plot details remain sparse, it follows the conclusion of Frozen II, where Anna becomes queen of Arendelle and Elsa heads into the enchanted forest.

Concept art for the movie, unveiled at the D23 Expo 2024, shows Anna and Elsa on horseback, gazing at a mysterious city in the clouds.

Aside from Frozen, Menzel has been busy with her Broadway role in Redwood, while Bell recently starred in the Netflix series Nobody Wants This, and Gad is working on a new project he co-wrote. The upcoming Frozen 3 is set for release on November 24, 2027.
