One-Punch Man Season 3 Episode Rated Low Amid Fan Outcry
TOKYO, Japan – The latest episode of the popular anime series One-Punch Man has garnered an extremely low rating on IMDb, continuing the show’s struggles this season. Episode six, titled ‘Motley Heroes,’ currently sits at a mere 2.7 out of 10, marking it as one of the lowest-rated anime episodes in history.
Viewers have expressed their dissatisfaction, with some citing boredom as a reason for their negative feedback. One viewer mentioned they had a “hard time not falling asleep” due to the episode’s slow pace, which mainly recapped previously known information. Another fan went as far as suggesting that the entire season should be “remade.” This backlash comes after a long six-year wait for new content from the series.
The ongoing frustration among longtime fans has largely targeted the animation studio, J.C. Staff, which took over animation duties from the second season onward. Critics have described the episodes as “janky” and “rushed.” However, some have defended the studio.
“I think a lot of people blame J.C. Staff, but it’s a bit more complex,” a commentator stated. “Sometimes, it’s not about the animation studio; sometimes it’s about the production committee that oversees everything.”
As of now, One-Punch Man Season 3 will continue airing new episodes until December, with fans anxiously awaiting improvements in animation quality and storytelling for the episodes to come.
