Rain and Fog Forecast for Thursday Morning Commute
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The weather forecast from WCPO‘s 9 First Warning Weather team indicates that rain and fog could complicate the Thursday morning commute.
Mist and cloud cover are expected to persist throughout the night, keeping overnight temperatures in the mid-40s. Fog is anticipated to develop, especially in the early hours leading up to Thursday.
A warm front moving into the region on Thursday will maintain mostly cloudy skies. There may be brief, spotty showers across parts of Kentucky in the afternoon, particularly south of Cincinnati. High temperatures are projected to reach the upper 50s.
As the warm front approaches overnight into Friday morning, rain is expected to become more frequent. Rainfall will likely continue at various times throughout Friday, with high temperatures again in the upper 50s. Residents are advised to prepare for wet conditions, especially those attending high school football playoff games.
Forecasters predict some rain totals could exceed half an inch. The skies should clear up by Saturday morning, leading to a mostly dry weekend. Saturday will see leftover clouds in the morning, but sunshine is expected to return in the afternoon, with highs in the mid-50s.
Sunday is forecasted to be mostly sunny with temperatures still in the upper 50s. As the week progresses into Monday and Tuesday, highs will hover around the mid-50s with a mix of sun and clouds, and scattered rain becomes likely Tuesday.
As people travel for the Thanksgiving holiday, there remains a slight chance of rain on Wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures dropping back down into the low 50s.
The overnight forecast calls for cloudy skies with foggy areas, with a low near 45 degrees. Thursday will see mostly cloudy conditions with a high of 56 degrees, while Thursday night brings a chance of showers and a low of 50 degrees.
Friday is expected to be cloudy with a likelihood of rain, reaching a high of 59 degrees.
