BTS Hits Now Available in Spatial Audio on Apple Music

Seoul, South Korea — Fans of the K-pop supergroup BTS can now experience their favorite tracks in a new way. Apple Music announced on Friday that two pivotal series from the group’s discography, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life and Love Yourself, are available in spatial audio using Dolby Atmos technology.

This innovative audio technology allows listeners to immerse themselves in BTS’s sound like never before. With spatial audio, each element of a song is placed in a specific configuration, creating a multi-dimensional sound experience. For example, in the song “Young Forever,” the layering of vocals and instrumentals is enhanced, making its iconic ending resonate even more.

The six albums included in this release are The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1 and Pt. 2, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever, Love Yourself: Her, Love Yourself: Tear, and Love Yourself: Answer. These albums played a significant role in establishing BTS as a global phenomenon.

Yang Ga, a studio engineer at Hybe, commented on the impact of spatial audio. “It allows fans to uncover new nuances in songs they already know,” he stated. “With heightened clarity, listeners can appreciate the separation of vocals and instruments, leading to a different emotional experience.”
