Konami Expands Silent Hill Series with New Titles Planned
Tokyo, Japan — Konami Group Corporation announced its plans to expand the popular Silent Hill series with new game titles following the success of recent releases. The company’s fiscal report for the first half of 2026, covering April 1 to September 30, revealed significant growth, driven by the Digital Entertainment sector.
In the report, Konami stated that its game Silent Hill f received an “overwhelmingly positive” response, selling over one million copies within two days of its launch. This success has propelled the company to further invest in the franchise, indicating a commitment to develop additional titles beyond the Silent Hill remake and Silent Hill: Townfall.
The report emphasized, “We are also working on a remake of the first game in the Silent Hill series as well as a new title, Silent Hill: Townfall, with plans to develop this series further going forward.” The company aims to create beloved titles for its global fanbase.
In addition to Silent Hill’s revival, Konami reported a 22.1% increase in revenue year-on-year, alongside operating profit growth of nearly 29%. This expansion includes strong performances in various divisions, such as Amusement and Sports.
Konami’s strategy appears focused on long-term growth, evidenced by the recent launch of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and the opening of a new R&D center. The report highlights a resurgence in the company’s classic properties, with Silent Hill’s sales rising to 13 million units, a significant increase over the last year.
The revitalization of the Silent Hill franchise marks a new era for Konami, which had seen a decline in activity regarding this series after the cancellation of Silent Hills in 2015. With renewed interest stemming from recent titles, the futures of both Silent Hill and its dedicated fanbase appear promising.
