Zimbabwe Faces Sri Lanka in T20 Tri-Series Match in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan – Sri Lanka faces Zimbabwe in the second match of the T20 Tri-Series on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Zimbabwe is looking to recover after a five-wicket loss to Pakistan in their opening match of the tournament. The team’s batting saw contributions from Brian Bennett, who scored 49 runs, Tadiwanashe Marumani with 30 runs, and Sikandar Raza adding 34 runs, but it was not enough to secure a victory.

Sri Lanka enters the match without its regular captain, Charith Asalanka, and fast bowler Asitha Fernando, both of whom have returned home due to illness. The team will instead be led by Dasun Shanaka.

Zimbabwe will aim to avoid a consecutive defeat and get their first win of the tri-series. They need to improve their performance after their recent loss in which Pakistan chased down their target of 148 runs successfully.
