Shake Shack Cfo Resignation News

NEW YORK, NY — Shake Shack announced on November 25, 2025, that Katherine Fogertey has resigned from her position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Her resignation is effective March 4, 2026, but she will serve as a senior advisor until then to ensure a smooth transition.

Shake Shack operates more than 645 restaurants worldwide, and the company plans to immediately begin a search for Fogertey’s replacement. To maintain financial stability during this transition, the company is establishing an ‘Office of the CFO,’ which will rely on experienced leaders in financial planning, accounting, treasury, data science, and investor relations.

Rob Lynch, CEO of Shake Shack, expressed gratitude for Fogertey’s contributions, stating, ‘Katie has made a meaningful and positive impact on Shake Shack, helping us navigate pivotal moments of growth and transition.’ He added that the company has confidence in the leadership team that will guide the interim office.

Fogertey joined Shake Shack in 2021 after her tenure as an analyst at Goldman Sachs. Since her joining, the company has experienced consistent same-store sales growth each quarter.

In her statement, Fogertey expressed pride in her accomplishments, noting the significant growth of the company during her tenure. ‘We have built a solid foundation that will help power Shake Shack’s robust growth opportunity for many years to come,’ she said.

Shake Shack also reiterated its financial guidance for the fourth quarter and the fiscal year 2025, forecasting revenues of approximately $1.45 billion and a 16% year-over-year increase.
