Masked Intruders Strike During Bowling Green Home Invasion
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Authorities are investigating a violent home invasion that occurred Sunday night at an apartment on Hillview Mills. According to police reports, several masked individuals armed with firearms attempted to forcibly enter the residence, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.
Officers arrived to find that the suspects had already fled the scene. During their response, shots were fired in the vicinity, leading them to discover another crime scene on nearby Moss Creek Avenue.
The victims reported that four men entered their home through an unlocked back window. The intruders demanded to know the location of a family member’s bedroom while they ransacked the residence for valuables.
The brother of the victim stated that he arrived home during the incident. Sensing trouble, he retrieved a handgun and fired at the intruders, who returned fire. Multiple bullet casings and damage were documented inside the apartment.
After the confrontation, the suspects fled on foot. Officers pursued several individuals seen running toward Spring Creek Avenue but lost them in the nearby greenway area. Law enforcement agencies, including the Bowling Green Police Department and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a thorough canvas of the area.
Eventually, two suspects, identified as Jaivion S. Harris, 21, and Brian C. Williams, 19, were located at separate locations. Williams was found with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Drone assistance from the sheriff’s office aided in locating the injured suspect.
Investigators recovered numerous shell casings at the scene, connecting both 9mm and 10mm firearms to the incident. Residents in the area reported hearing gunfire, and one individual even pursued the suspects with his AR-15 but did not fire any shots.
The Bowling Green Police Criminal Investigation Division has taken over the case, and authorities continue to seek additional suspects and gather evidence. Harris and Williams have been charged with first-degree robbery and remain in custody at the Warren County Regional Jail.
