Liverpool Vs Girona Champions League Lineup

Liverpool is set to face Girona in a Champions League match on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, with several key updates to their squad. The most notable return is that of goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who has been sidelined since sustaining a hamstring injury two months ago at Crystal Palace. Alisson has been included in Arne Slot‘s 19-man squad for the game at Estadi Montilivi and is expected to start, replacing Caoimhin Kelleher.

The Reds, currently top of the Champions League table with maximum points from their five games, will look to maintain their perfect campaign. Despite having a weekend off due to the postponement of the Merseyside derby against Everton, Slot has indicated no intention to rotate the lineup, emphasizing the team’s fitness and readiness.

Liverpool’s starting lineup includes Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson, Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, Dominik Szoboszlai, Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah, and Darwin Nunez. Notable absences include Federico Chiesa due to illness, Diogo Jota who did not travel due to a chest injury, and Alexis Mac Allister who is serving a one-match Champions League suspension. Defenders Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate, and Kostas Tsimikas remain unavailable due to injuries.

Girona, on the other hand, will be without Bojan Miovski due to a sprain, while Jhon Solis has been passed fit after a recent absence. Viktor Tsygankov and Yangel Herrera are also ruled out with injuries. Girona’s head coach, Michel, has expressed his team’s determination to be aggressive and competitive against the dominant Liverpool side.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 5:45pm GMT at Estadi Montilivi and will be broadcast on TNT Sports.
