Colombia Vs Bolivia Football Match

The Colombian national football team, currently preparing to face Bolivia in the ninth round of the World Cup qualifiers, found itself at the center of a controversy involving allegations of espionage. The incident reportedly occurred during a training session in Cochabamba, Bolivia, where claims surfaced that the Bolivian team engaged in surveillance activities. Head coach Néstor Lorenzo addressed the matter in a press conference, expressing his disappointment at the breach of privacy.

“One wants to train with the discretion that is deserved, and what happened was a break in the team’s intimacy,” Lorenzo stated. “We have photographed the individual involved, and will determine how to proceed in the coming hours,” he added, indicating potential formal complaints to relevant authorities.

Additional details were provided by Juan Pablo Hernández, a sports journalist for Noticias Caracol, who reported that a camera was allegedly installed in a building near the training venue. According to Hernández, the device was positioned to capture footage of the Colombian players at the Félix Capriles Stadium in Cochabamba.

In response, the Colombian team reportedly dispatched a communications drone to capture images of those suspected of conducting the surveillance. Lorenzo mentioned that a formal complaint is likely to be filed soon as the team awaits further developments. Despite the incident, the Colombian squad remains focused as they prepare for the upcoming match in El Alto, scheduled for Thursday, October 10, at 3:00 p.m. Colombian time.
