Amon-Ra St. Brown Fined for Taunting, Prepares for Crucial NFC North Matchup
Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has been fined $11,255 by the NFL for taunting during the team’s Week 6 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The incident occurred when St. Brown tossed the ball toward the Cowboys’ sideline after scoring a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Despite the fine, St. Brown remains a key figure in the Lions’ offense. Through the first five games of the season, he has accumulated 31 catches for 289 yards and three touchdowns. His performance has been consistent, with a touchdown in each of the last three games.
As the Lions prepare to face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7, St. Brown is expected to play a significant role. The matchup is crucial for the NFC North division, and the Lions may rely more on their passing game given the Vikings’ strong run defense. St. Brown’s history against the Vikings is promising, having gone over 100 yards in both meetings against Brian Flores‘ defense last year.
In addition to St. Brown’s individual preparation, the Lions have made several roster moves ahead of the game. Defensive lineman Pat O'Connor was signed to the active roster, and Isaac Ukwu and tight end Shane Zylstra were elevated from the practice squad. Coach Dan Campbell emphasized the importance of maintaining composure in the loud environment of U.S. Bank Stadium, where the Vikings play.
