LOS ANGELES, CA — Anna Lambe has been cast as a co-star alongside Brad Pitt in the upcoming action-adventure film “The Heart of the Beast,” directed by David Ayer. The film, which does not yet have a release date, tells the story of a former Army Special Forces soldier and his combat dog, stranded in the Alaskan wilderness after a plane crash.

Lambe, who is known for her lead role in the Canadian comedy series “North of North,” will join previously announced cast members Pitt and other notable actors. Cameron Alexander penned the script and serves as the executive producer of the project.

Details about Lambe’s specific role in the film remain confidential, adding an air of suspense to the anticipation surrounding the production. Producers include Ayer and Olivia Hamilton through their Wild Chickens Productions banner in partnership with Paramount Pictures, along with Temple Hill Entertainment and Plan B Entertainment.

Ayer is known for his directorial work on films such as “Suicide Squad” and “Fury,” and he recently directed the Jason Statham vehicle “A Working Man,” set to hit theaters this Friday. Pitt, meanwhile, is also starring in Joseph Kosinski’s upcoming racing drama “F1,” expected to be released in June.

“I’m excited to explore the complexities of these characters and dive into what makes them tick,” Ayer said in a statement. “Working with such talented individuals on this film is a dream come true.”

Lambe’s performance in “North of North,” which premieres on Netflix on April 10, has drawn critical acclaim, marking her as a rising star in the industry. She has also appeared alongside Jodie Foster in HBO‘s “True Detective: Night Country” and opposite Alfred Molina in Amazon‘s limited series “Three Pines.”

The announcement of Lambe’s casting has generated buzz within the entertainment community as fans eagerly await the additional details about “The Heart of the Beast” and further insights into her character.
