Anticipation Builds for 2025 Oregon International Air Show in Hillsboro

HILLSBORO, Oregon — Travelers in Hillsboro should plan ahead this weekend as officials close key roads during the 2025 Oregon International Air Show. The primary closure will occur on Northeast Brookwood Parkway between Airport and Cornell roads during the event to ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and attendees.
In addition to Brookwood Parkway, access to Northeast Penny Way and the “T” Hangars will be restricted during show hours. Officials are creating a “sterile aerobatic box,” which is a designated area that must remain clear of all people, including pedestrians, during the performances. Roads leading to businesses on or west of Brookwood Parkway, from Dawson Creek to Airport Road, will be restricted but not entirely closed.
Local authorities are also advising against the use of drones while the show takes place. Unauthorized drone flights violate federal regulations and could disrupt the required sterile aerobatic box, posing risks to air safety.
For those attending the air show, further information on parking options and access can be found on the event’s website. Visitors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the regulations ahead of time to ensure a smooth experience.
