Apple Ufo Film Package Announcement

LOS ANGELES, CA — Apple Original Films is reportedly in negotiations to acquire an untitled, high-concept UFO film package featuring director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer. The information comes from insider sources who revealed that the script, penned by Zach Baylin, offers a UFO disclosure-themed take on the classic 1976 political thriller, ‘All the President’s Men.’

n

The package emerged on the market last week and quickly drew several competitive bids. According to sources, Apple secured the deal due to its strong working relationship with both Kosinski and Bruckheimer stemming from their collaboration on the upcoming film ‘F1,’ which is set to release in June 2025.

David Grusch, a former U.S. Air Force intelligence officer and notable whistleblower, is tapped to executive produce and consult on the project. Grusch gained prominence in 2023 with his claims regarding the U.S. government’s involvement in researching unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), formerly known as UFOs, thus drawing public interest into the subject.

n

The broader cultural perception of UAPs has shifted significantly in recent years from fringe conspiracy theories to legitimate topics of discussion, particularly after declassified military footage emerged, along with official government acknowledgments. Notably, a 2017 report by the New York Times disclosed the existence of the Pentagon‘s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, which investigates UAPs.

n

Further confirmation came from the U.S. Department of Defense, which has validated the authenticity of certain Navy videos depicting unidentified, fast-moving objects that were unidentifiable by pilots. Congressional hearings in 2022 and 2023 have brought additional legitimacy to the topic, with intelligence officials articulating national security concerns surrounding UAPs. Grusch’s assertions regarding the recovery and study of non-human crafts ignited even more public intrigue.

n

Screenwriter Zach Baylin, who is recognized for his work on the Oscar-winning film ‘King Richard,’ wrote the screenplay for this project. Kosinski, celebrated for directing ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ which received six Oscar nominations and grossed over $1.4 billion worldwide, aims to deliver another compelling narrative with this upcoming venture. His most recent work, the Formula 1 film, is scheduled to be released later this year.

n

Jerry Bruckheimer, who has produced several recent hits, including ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die‘ for Sony and ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F‘ for Netflix, is expected to lend his expertise to the UFO project.

Both Kosinski and Bruckheimer are represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA), while Baylin is repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
