Arrest Made in Disappearance of Philadelphia Woman Kada Scott
PHILADELPHIA, PA — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the abduction of 23-year-old Kada Scott, who has been missing since October 4. The announcement was made during a press conference on Wednesday.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect has a history of similar incidents. They urged anyone who might have been a victim to come forward. “We are treating this as if Ms. Scott is still alive,” police stated.
Scott was last seen leaving her job at a senior living facility in Chestnut Hill. After her disappearance, her car was found at the workplace, and her mobile phone was unresponsive. Police are currently working to identify a car linked to the case and are asking the public for help.
On October 10, law enforcement searched a residence on the 5500 block of Belmar Terrace in Southwest Philadelphia. This search was followed by another in Germantown, about three miles from where Scott was last spotted. Officials have not disclosed if any items related to the investigation were found during these searches.
Family and friends of Scott have actively participated in search efforts. Her father stated, “We need to canvass the neighborhoods for any leads we can find to help bring my daughter home.” They have also set up a reward fund for credible information that may lead to her whereabouts.
As the search extends into its second week, Scott’s family remains hopeful. “You never know what small piece of information could help solve this case,” her father added. The FBI is also working alongside local police in the investigation.
Anyone with information regarding Kada Scott’s disappearance is urged to contact Philadelphia police at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
