Following her recent victory at the US Open, Belarusian tennis star Aryna Sabalenka took a break in Greece where she spent quality time with fellow tennis champion Novak Djokovic.

Sabalenka and her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, joined Djokovic and his wife, Jelena, for a double date in Athens. The foursome enjoyed dinner together and shared playful moments on the tennis court. “He was really competitive, and he was screaming,” Sabalenka said about Djokovic. “But I won a lot of points against him, for the record. I hope he’s gonna confirm that.”

Sabalenka, who is currently ranked World No. 1, expressed joy about their time together, stating, “We had so much fun. I love them, him and Jelena. He’s always open to giving me advice.” The camaraderie between the two stars has been evident throughout their careers, with Sabalenka frequently praising Djokovic’s influence on her game.

Both players have recently taken short breaks from the tour; Sabalenka after her triumph at the US Open and Djokovic after his semifinal run at the same tournament. The two are now preparing to return to competitive play. Djokovic is competing in the Shanghai Masters, while Sabalenka will defend her title at the WTA 1000 event in Wuhan.

While in Wuhan, Sabalenka faced challenging conditions due to humidity, stating, “Honestly, I thought this year that the US Open was quite humid, but when I came here, I realized the US Open was not humid at all.” She is set to play against 16th seed Liudmila Samsonova in the Round of 16.
