ATEEZ Releases New Album ‘GOLDEN HOUR: Part. 2’ with Lead Single ‘Ice On My Teeth’
K-pop boy band ATEEZ has unveiled their latest album, ‘GOLDEN HOUR: Part. 2,’ which was released on November 15, 2024. This new release comes just six months after their previous work and promises to showcase the group’s eight members—Seonghwa, Hongjoong, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho—at their brightest yet.
The album features six tracks, including the lead single ‘Ice On My Teeth,’ a hip-hop song with elegant string elements. The title track conveys a self-assured message, symbolizing the harmony of seemingly mismatched elements through the metaphor of diamonds set in teeth. According to Hongjoong, the leader of ATEEZ, the song is a way of expressing pride in themselves and their fans in a style that resonates with modern listeners.
ATEEZ has been experiencing steady international growth since their debut in 2018. Notably, their album ZERO: FEVER Part. 3 debuted at No. 42 on the Billboard 200 in 2021, and they made history by becoming the first K-pop boy band to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival last April. The group recently concluded the North American leg of their 2024 world tour, “TOWARDS THE LIGHT: WILL TO POWER,” where they greeted over 200,000 fans.
At a press conference in Seoul, the members reflected on their growing international popularity and the lessons learned from performing abroad. Wooyoung highlighted the improvement in their stage presence and live vocals, while Mingi noted that experiencing different concert cultures broadened their perspectives.
As ATEEZ approaches its seventh anniversary, a common contract renewal period in the K-pop industry, the group remains optimistic about their future. Hongjoong assured fans that they are in active discussions about their future and share a common goal of growing as artists for a long time.
The album ‘GOLDEN HOUR: Part. 2’ also includes tracks such as “DEEP DIVE,” “Scene 1: Value,” “Man on Fire,” “Selfish Waltz,” and “Enough,” with Hongjoong and Mingi contributing lyrics to five of the tracks, adding a personal touch to the release[4]).
