Auburn’s Johni Broome Launches National Player of the Year Website

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — In an effort to bolster his candidacy for the National Player of the Year, Johni Broome of Auburn University has launched a dedicated campaign website titled “All 4 Auburn.” The site features a detailed compilation of Broome’s statistics, media testimonials, and multimedia content showcasing his performance this season, highlighting his impact on the team.
The website consists of four tabs: “Dominance,” “Recognition,” “Legacy,” and “Impact.” In these sections, visitors can find comprehensive stats in the “Dominance” and “Legacy” tabs, which emphasize his on-court achievements. The “Recognition” tab displays endorsements from coaches and sports analysts, while the “Impact” tab features a collection of photos and videos that illustrate Broome’s contributions to the team’s success.
After Auburn’s recent victory over Arkansas, Broome’s teammates, Chaney Johnson and Chad Baker-Mazara, expressed their support for his campaign. “Easily, he deserves the award,” Baker-Mazara stated while reflecting on Broome’s performance. Johnson added, “He had another dominant night: 16 points, 13 rebounds. A double-double is normal for him. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get it.”
Currently, Broome is averaging 18 points and 11 rebounds per game, ranking sixth nationally in rebounds. His performance has also placed him second in the country in offensive efficiency according to KenPom ratings. Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl underscored Broome’s significance, saying, “If we continue to be able to find ways to win, and he continues to stay healthy and play well, he’ll be right there for National Player of the Year. Name me a better transfer over a three-year period than Johni Broome in the country.”
In their recent game, Auburn defeated Alabama 94-85, with Broome contributing 19 points and 14 rebounds. Five of Broome’s teammates also reached double figures, highlighting the team’s offensive depth. Mark Sears led Alabama with 18 points and Grant Nelson added a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Despite a strong second-half effort, Alabama could not overcome a double-digit deficit.
Auburn’s current record stands at 23-2 overall and 11-1 in the Southeastern Conference. The team will host Arkansas on Wednesday, while Alabama prepares to face Missouri the same night. The victory against Alabama ensures that Auburn remains the No. 1 ranked team in the upcoming AP College Basketball Poll for the sixth consecutive week.
As Broome pushes for the National Player of the Year title, fans and analysts will monitor his performance closely as the season progresses. Broome’s ability to maintain his statistics and contribute significantly to his team’s success will likely be pivotal in determining his candidacy.
