Paolo Banchero Nba Game January 2025

PORTLAND, Ore. — Paolo Banchero delivered a standout performance despite the Orlando Magic‘s 119-90 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday, January 30, 2025. The 22-year-old forward scored 21 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists in 33 minutes of play.

Banchero’s scoring output surpassed pregame projections, as he connected on 10 of 23 field goal attempts for a 43.5% shooting percentage. His contributions were a bright spot for the Magic, who struggled collectively with a 42.0% field goal percentage and only 90 points on the night.

“Paolo played with great energy and focus,” said Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley. “He’s continuing to grow as a leader on this team, even in tough situations like tonight.”

The Trail Blazers dominated the game from the start, outscoring the Magic in every quarter. Portland’s balanced attack and strong defensive effort proved too much for Orlando to overcome.

Banchero’s performance marked his 15th game this season with at least 20 points and 5 rebounds. The 2022 NBA Rookie of the Year has been a consistent force for the Magic, averaging 22.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game this season.

The loss dropped Orlando to 22-29 on the season, while Portland improved to 31-20. The Magic will look to bounce back in their next game against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, February 1.
