Bayern Munich Eyes Bundesliga Title Against RB Leipzig on Saturday

Munich, Germany – Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany is focused on preparing for Saturday’s Bundesliga clash against RB Leipzig, where his team can secure a historic 34th league title.
Bayern enters the match with an eight-point lead over Bayer Leverkusen, who sit second in the standings. A victory against Leipzig would clinch the title; however, even a draw would suffice if Leverkusen fails to win against Freiburg on Sunday.
“We want to win tomorrow and be champions,” Kompany stated in a press conference. “Tomorrow is a final for us. Hopefully we do it. We’re preparing as normal for Leipzig. I’m not preparing any celebrations.”
Kompany acknowledged the potential challenge Leipzig will pose after their recent loss to Frankfurt. “They have a lot of talent and quality, lots of good young players,” he remarked. “I think we’ll get the best version of Leipzig as an opponent. It’ll be tough. We need to prepare for the game, not for a party.”
This match comes at a time when Bayern’s star striker Harry Kane is sidelined due to suspension. Despite this, Kompany noted that Kane’s confidence remains high. “Harry is one of our best players mentally. He knows his moment is coming. He’s exuding confidence,” he added.
Additionally, there is speculation about the return of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. “Manu has had a good week of training. We’ll sit down together and then decide what’s best for him and the team,” Kompany said.
As Bayern prepares for this pivotal match, the squad remains focused on winning the title, foregoing any thoughts of celebrations until after the game.
