Ben Stiller, Adam Scott Launch ‘Severance’ Podcast Ahead of Season 2

Ben Stiller and Adam Scott, the creative forces behind Apple TV+’s Emmy- and Peabody Award-winning series ‘Severance,’ have launched a companion podcast to dive deep into the show’s intricate world. Titled ‘The Severance Podcast with Ben Stiller and Adam Scott,’ the series offers an episode-by-episode breakdown of the workplace thriller, featuring behind-the-scenes insights from creators, cast, crew, and celebrity fans.

The podcast, produced by Audacy Podcasts in partnership with Red Hour and Great Scott, premiered on January 7, 2025, with daily episodes leading up to the Season 2 premiere on January 17. Stiller, who serves as director and executive producer, and Scott, the show’s star and executive producer, rewatched Season 1 to provide in-depth analysis and share never-before-heard stories.

Guests on the podcast include ‘Severance’ creator Dan Erickson, producer Jackie Cohn, and cast members Zach Cherry (Dylan), John Turturro (Irving), and Britt Lower (Helly). Celebrity superfans like Jon Stewart, Kristen Bell, and Dax Shepard also join the conversation. Season 2 of the podcast will feature additional guests, including Tramell Tillman, who plays Milchick in the series.

In a joint statement, Stiller and Scott humorously referenced the show’s premise, saying, ‘We have severed ourselves from the world for five years making this show. While we have no memory of what happened during that time, we thought we should do a podcast for all the Innies who will have no recollection of watching, in an attempt to reintegrate them with their memory of the show.’

‘Severance’ explores the lives of employees at Lumon Industries, a company that surgically divides their memories between work and personal lives. The podcast delves into the show’s themes, production challenges, and fan theories, offering a unique perspective for both casual viewers and die-hard fans.

Season 1 of the podcast is available now, with new episodes released daily until January 16. Season 2 will launch on January 17, coinciding with the Season 2 premiere of ‘Severance’ on Apple TV+, and will release weekly episodes throughout the season.
