St. Louis Blues Vs Seattle Kraken Hockey Game

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The St. Louis Blues (26-26-6) will host the Seattle Kraken (25-30-4) at the Enterprise Center on Tuesday, February 25, at 7 p.m. CT. Both teams are coming off contrasting results, with the Blues celebrating a 3-1 comeback victory over the Colorado Avalanche and the Kraken aiming to bounce back from a 4-1 defeat against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Blues have gained momentum heading into this matchup, having earned five points in their last three games. Goaltender Jordan Binnington expressed pride in the team’s performance and resilience following the NHL’s two-week break. “We came out and we got two big points, three big points on the weekend, and our team played phenomenal, I think,” Binnington said. “It’s a great start for us coming out of break, and it’s fun to have the lead, win the game at home and have the crowd into it.”

Against the Avalanche, the Blues scored all three of their goals in the second period from Brayden Schenn, Colton Parayko, and Dylan Holloway. In addition, Robert Thomas continued his impressive form, extending his point streak to six games with nine points (three goals, six assists) this month.

This matchup marks the second of three meetings between the Blues and Kraken this season. The Blues emerged victorious in their previous encounter on October 8, winning 3-2 on the road. The Kraken will aim to improve their league position as they sit seventh in the Pacific Division with 54 points.

Meanwhile, the Kraken’s recent performance has been inconsistent. They managed a 1-1-0 record on their current road trip but suffered a setback in Tampa Bay. Assistant captain Yanni Gourde remains out after undergoing surgery for a sports hernia in late January, adding to the challenges the Kraken face. Gourde, who has accumulated 16 points (six goals, ten assists) this season, is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.

Despite their struggles, the Kraken have been known for their strong performances in the third period, scoring two-thirds of their regulation goals this month in the final frame. Forward Shane Wright tallied the lone goal in the loss to the Lightning, extending his own point streak to three games (two goals, three assists).

Blues defenseman Justin Faulk played a crucial role against the Avalanche, registering two assists and averaging over 22 minutes of ice time since returning from the break. Faulk has amassed 21 points this season and has a total of 447 points in his illustrious career spanning 956 games.

As the game approaches, oddsmakers favor the Blues at -144, while the Kraken are at +121. Analysts predict a close contest, but the Blues are seen to have the edge with their recent form.

The game will be broadcast live on the FanDuel Sports Network, and local radio coverage will be available on 101 ESPN and through the Blues App. Tickets are available for purchase online.
