Brad Marchand Celebrates with Dessert During Eastern Conference Finals

Sunrise, Florida — Brad Marchand found a unique way to fuel up during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals on Saturday night at Amerant Bank Arena. The tension was high as the Florida Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes entered the third period tied at 1-1.
However, Marchand, a former captain of the Boston Bruins, appeared completely relaxed. Cameras from TNT caught him diving into a dessert during the second intermission. “Yeah, that’s a little chocolate chip cookie dough Blizzard right there,” Marchand shared with a grin. “You can’t beat it. It’s the best dessert in the world. So, I better get a lifetime free supply of Dairy Queen now.”
Marchand’s sweet indulgence seemed to pay off. He scored one of the Panthers’ five goals in the third period, helping Florida secure a commanding 6-2 victory. With this win, the Panthers have a chance to sweep the Hurricanes and secure a spot in the Stanley Cup Final during Game 4 on Monday night.
If Marchand believes in superstitions, he might want to make a stop at Dairy Queen on his way to the rink for the next game.
