Breeze Airways Launches New Flights from Salisbury to Orlando

SALISBURY, Md. – Breeze Airways is set to launch new flights from Salisbury Regional Airport to Orlando, expanding direct travel options for local residents on May 22, 2025. Orlando is a leading destination for travelers in the region, with many currently opting for flights out of other airports.
“We identified the Orlando market. That’s our number one destination for people that live in this area, but they don’t necessarily fly out of Salisbury to get there,” said Tony Rudy, airport manager at Salisbury Regional Airport.
Airport officials believe this new service by Breeze Airways will enhance convenience for local travelers and contribute to the airport’s growth. Rudy expressed hope that the airline can increase its offerings based on demand. “We’re hoping we can prove ourselves with that market and maybe they can add either additional flights to the same market or add a second or third market down the road as the travel kind of supports that,” he stated.
In addition to Breeze, the airport is in discussions with several major airlines to bring in more services. “We have been talking to all the major airlines out there and some others that offer unique products,” Rudy added.
Local business leaders are optimistic about the potential positive impact of the new flights. Bill Chambers, president and CEO of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the economic benefits that successful flights can bring. “If these flights with Breeze take off—and we are hoping they will—and they expand services, maybe in the future we see expanded services from others. This will only be an economic boost to our region,” Chambers noted.
He also mentioned that new flight services could lead to job growth and increased tourism in Maryland’s Eastern Shore area. “We’ll see the employee model grow with Breeze, and we will see businesses benefit from this. I think we’ll see an uptick in tourism that’s migrating to the Eastern Shore,” said Chambers.
