Brighton & Hove Albion Secure Signing Of Yankuba Minteh From Newcastle United

Brighton & Hove Albion have finalized a significant transfer deal by acquiring talented winger Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle United, in a move that underlines the club’s ambition for the upcoming season. The 19-year-old’s impressive loan spell at Eredivisie runners-up Feyenoord caught the attention of many, showcasing his attacking prowess with 10 league goals and 37 total appearances across all competitions.

Technical director David Weir expressed his delight at the acquisition, praising Minteh’s speed and attacking flair. The undisclosed terms of the contract see Minteh committing to the club until June 2029, providing Brighton & Hove Albion with a promising young talent for the future.

Minteh’s journey to the Premier League started in 2022 when he made his mark at Danish outfit Odense BK, where his performances alerted Newcastle United’s interest leading to his signing in 2023. Subsequently loaned to Feyenoord, Minteh flourished on the European stage, featuring in the Champions League and Europa League competitions.

Representing his national team, The Gambia, Minteh has notched up seven caps and three goals, showcasing his international pedigree at a young age. The winger’s blend of speed, technical ability, and goal-scoring threat positions him as a key asset for Brighton & Hove Albion’s attacking setup heading into the new season.
