Broncos Training Session

The Denver Broncos have made key adjustments to their practice participation list ahead of their upcoming game against the New Orleans Saints, scheduled for Thursday night. In the latest injury report, cornerbacks Riley Moss and Ja’Quan McMillian were upgraded to full participation as of Tuesday. Both players had been previously limited due to hip and ankle injuries, respectively.

The team’s practice session was conducted as a walkthrough; thus, the participation status for Moss and McMillian serves as an estimate. Their availability becomes crucial because star cornerback Pat Surtain II is still navigating the NFL’s concussion protocol, making his appearance on Thursday doubtful.

Additional updates from the Broncos’ camp revealed that cornerback Damarri Mathis and linebacker Justin Strnad maintained their full participation status through the second day of practice, addressing ankle and rib injuries, respectively. Tackle Alex Palczewski and linebacker Baron Browning were involved in limited practice due to ankle and foot concerns, after being designated for a return from the injured reserve list.

Riley Moss, a 2023 third-round draft pick, has consistently demonstrated his defensive capabilities, evidenced by his six tackles, including five solo engagements, and defending a pass during the Broncos’ recent defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers. His potential recovery will be pivotal for the Broncos’ defensive strategy against the Saints.

Meanwhile, tackle Mike McGlinchey remains under observation with a knee issue, as the Broncos carefully manage their roster towards achieving optimal player readiness amidst a challenging mid-week schedule.
