Bruce Willis Red 3 Emma Heming Ftd Awareness

Bruce Willis, the iconic actor known for his roles in films like ‘Die Hard’ and the ‘Red’ franchise, is set to make a final appearance in the highly anticipated ‘Red 3‘. Despite his ongoing health battle with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), Willis will reprise his role as Frank Moses alongside John Malkovich as Marvin Boggs. The film promises to be bigger and more explosive, with new characters and plot twists, and will explore the darker side of espionage.

In ‘Red 3’, Frank and Marvin are pulled back into action when an old mission known as “Project Blackout” resurfaces, threatening world security. The film will feature international locations and the return of old allies, including Victoria (Helen Mirren) and Ivan Simanov (Brian Cox), as they face off against a ruthless arms dealer played by Javier Bardem.

Meanwhile, Bruce Willis’s family continues to navigate his health challenges. His wife, Emma Heming Willis, has been a steadfast advocate for raising awareness about FTD and aphasia since Bruce’s diagnosis was announced in February 2023. Emma’s efforts have included sharing updates on social media, participating in advocacy events, and lobbying for increased funding and resources for FTD patients and caregivers.

Emma Heming Willis is set to be honored with the Susan Newhouse & Si Newhouse Award of Hope by the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD) for her outstanding contributions to raising awareness about FTD. The award will be presented at the 9th Annual Hope Rising Benefit in New York City’s Ziegfeld Ballroom in April 2025.

The Willis family, including his ex-wife Demi Moore and their daughters, has been open about their experience with Bruce’s health, aiming to break down the stigma surrounding dementia and provide support to other families affected by FTD. Their vulnerability and transparency have encouraged other families to speak up and seek support).
