Burna Boy Announces New Album Release

Exciting news for music fans! Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, also known as Damini Ogulu, has just announced that he will be dropping a new album very soon. He took to his X account, formerly Twitter, to tease his fans, saying, “Album dropping 12AM.”

The new album is set to be released at midnight on July 30, 2024. This news comes right after the celebration of the fifth anniversary of his critically acclaimed album, African Giant, which he marked with a concert in Kolo Camden, UK.

Burna Boy has been on fire lately, continuously making headlines in the music world. He has played a huge role in putting Nigerian music on the global stage, with multiple award-winning albums and sold-out shows that fans rave about.

Over the years, he has won significant accolades like the Best International Act at the BET Awards and was recognized as an Apple Music Up Next artist. His album, African Giant, not only won Album of the Year at the All Africa Music Awards but also snagged a Grammy nomination for Best World Music Album.

Following the success of his fourth album, Burna Boy released Twice as Tall in August 2020, which won him another Grammy award. His sixth studio album, Love Damini, came out in 2022, making waves as the highest debut for a Nigerian album on the Billboard 200 chart.

In addition to his musical achievements, Burna Boy was honored with the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic plaque for his contributions to music. He continues to break barriers, with Rolling Stone even ranking him as one of the greatest singers of all time.

His recent single, Higher, has been climbing the charts, raising expectations for what’s to come in his new album.
