Busted And Mcfly Concert

Busted and McFly, two of the UK’s prominent pop-punk bands, have announced a new joint UK and Ireland arena tour, slated to begin next year. The announcement was made in a surprise appearance by Busted during McFly’s show at The O2 in London on October 9, 2024.

The tour, dubbed the ‘Busted vs McFly’ tour, will kick off with an opening night at the BP Pulse Live arena in Birmingham on September 16, 2025. It will continue with performances at London’s OVO Arena Wembley and The O2 on September 19 and 20, as well as stops in Cardiff, Sheffield, Leeds, and Aberdeen.

Seven additional dates will follow in October, including a performance at the OVO Hydro venue in Glasgow, followed by shows in Liverpool, Newcastle, Nottingham, Manchester, Dublin, and Belfast. Due to high demand, an extra date has been added to the Glasgow lineup, with a new show scheduled for October 3, 2025.

Tickets for these events will be available for general sale starting October 18, 2024, at 9 a.m., with pre-sale tickets available from October 16. A spokesperson for the OVO Hydro announced via social media, “Extra date added. Busted and McFly have added an extra Glasgow show to their 2025 tour on October 3.”

McFly, consisting of members Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Harry Judd, and Dougie Poynter, have been celebrating their 21st anniversary as a band. They are known for hits such as ‘Five Colours In Her Hair’ and ‘All About You’.

Busted, formed in 2000, includes James Bourne, Matt Willis, and Charlie Simpson. The band gained fame with tracks like ‘Year 3000’, ‘What I Go To School For’, and ‘Crashed The Wedding’. The collaboration between these two bands is not without precedent; they previously formed a supergroup, McBusted, in 2013, touring and releasing an album together.

Both groups expressed playful rivalry ahead of the tour. McFly commented, “Busted gatecrashed our show last night… and challenged us to a VS tour next year. They’re old men now, and we are gonna blow them and their carers off the stage next year.” In response, Busted stated, “There’s been a lot of talk recently… This is where the talking ends! We are ready to show who is the better band once and for all.”

The upcoming tour promises a nostalgic yet competitive atmosphere for both bands’ fans, with plans to showcase new material alongside classic hits.
