Caitlin Clark Basketball Game Carver Hawkeye Arena

IOWA CITY, Iowa (May 4, 2025) — Caitlin Clark made a triumphant return to Carver-Hawkeye Arena as she led the Indiana Fever to a dominant 108-44 victory over the Brazil National Team. The game took place on Sunday, marking Clark’s first appearance at her former college court since being drafted No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

From the start, the Fever showcased their shooting prowess, with Clark and Kelsey Mitchell making back-to-back three-pointers within the opening 45 seconds. This early lead set a high tempo for the game, as Indiana continued sinking threes throughout the first half, finishing with a 70-24 lead at halftime.

Clark finished the game with 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists, shooting 60 percent from the field and 67 percent from beyond the arc. Her return thrilled a sold-out crowd of 14,998 fans, culminating in a highlight-reel moment when she drained a 36-foot three-pointer at the end of the third quarter.

“I love to compete at the end of the day,” Clark said before the game. “But also, this is a building I’m very comfortable playing in.” During her time at Iowa, Clark became the all-time leading scorer, earning her place in the arena’s history with her record-breaking shot.

Rookie Bree Hall made her Fever debut, scoring nine points and grabbing four rebounds off the bench. Jillian Alleyne also took the court for the first time as a Fever player in the third quarter.

Looking ahead, the Fever will face off against the Atlanta Dream on Saturday, May 10 at 3 p.m. ET for their final preseason game. The season opener is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse against the Chicago Sky, with the game available on ESPN.
