Canine Star Messi Steals The Show At The Oscars

The 7-year-old border collie, Messi, stole the spotlight at the 96th Academy Awards, marking a glamorous end to his breakout season in the entertainment industry.

Messi, renowned for his role in the French Palme d’Or winning film ‘Anatomy of a Fall,’ graced the Oscars in style, donning a stylish bowtie and securing a front-row seat among the industry’s top stars.

During host Jimmy Kimmel‘s opening monologue, Messi garnered a special shoutout for his adorable presence, with Kimmel jokingly referencing French actor Gerard Depardieu amidst the audience’s collective ‘awws’ at the sight of the dapper canine.

Earlier, Kimmel had bantered with Messi in a lighthearted exchange, further cementing the dog’s status as a cherished guest at the prestigious event.

Messi sparkled once again as cameras caught him applauding enthusiastically for newly crowned winner Steven Spielberg, adding to his memorable Oscars night highlights.

Anatomy of a Fall,’ the film that propelled Messi to fame, clinched five Oscar nominations, ultimately securing the Best Original Screenplay award for the talented duo Justine Triet and Arthur Harari.
