Cardinals Defensive Lineman Naquan Jones Signs with New Team

PHOENIX, Ariz. — The Arizona Cardinals are experiencing a shakeup on their defensive line as Naquan Jones moves on after a season with the team. Jones has signed a one-year deal with another franchise, marking the third loss for the Cardinals in free agency.
Jones played in 12 games for the Cardinals last season, posting a career-high three sacks along with 27 tackles, four tackles for loss, four quarterback hits, and two tipped passes. His contributions on the field were noteworthy as the team navigated challenges throughout the season.
After being cut by the previous team in November 2023, Jones joined the Cardinals initially on their practice squad. His journey saw him playing four games in the regular season, where he showcased his potential before the offseason and preseason periods.
Despite fighting for a spot, Jones was unable to secure a place on the final roster but continued to push himself on the practice squad. His efforts did not go unnoticed, as he was ultimately signed by the Cardinals, landing him a spot on the active roster for the remaining games.
As Jones embarks on this new chapter in his career, fans can stay updated with the Cardinals through coverage from Cardinals Wire’s Jess Root and others. The latest team insights, including player moves and strategies, can be found on the Rise Up, See Red podcast.
