Run Movie Cast Marques Houston Erica Mena

LOS ANGELES, California — The cast for the upcoming sci-fi thriller “Run” has been announced, with a star-studded lineup including Annie Ilonzeh, Marques Houston, and Erica Mena. Directed by Chris Stokes, the film is set to hit theaters in May 2025.

“Run” centers on Melissa, who skips out on her wedding to fiancé Andre. Her friends suggest a getaway trip to a cabin in the woods to help her cope. However, their plans take a dark turn when one of their group, Jenny, is discovered mutilated in the forest. As news of an alien invasion spreads across the country, the remaining friends must fight for survival.

The all-star cast features Erica Pinkett, Drew Sidora, Ken Lawson, Claudia Jordan, and Obba Babatunde, all of whom are well-acquainted with Stokes’ previous projects for Tubi. “The goal is to bring the urban community back to the theaters since a sharp decline. After successfully building the urban community fan base at Tubi, we are ready to reignite the theaters,” Stokes told Deadline.

Ilonzeh is currently known for her role on the CBS series “S.W.A.T.” and stars in the “Stepdaughter” franchise on Tubi. Her film credits include “Peppermint” and the Tupac Shakur biopic “All Eyez On Me.” Houston, an accomplished R&B artist, is best recognized for his role as Roger Evans in the ’90s sitcom “Sister, Sister.” His film work includes “You Got Served,” “Bebe’s Kids,” and multiple films in the “Stepmother” series on Tubi.

Mena gained fame through her appearances on reality shows such as “Love & Hip Hop: New York” as well as “Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami.” She has recently starred in all three films of the “Stepmother” franchise.

With a blend of horror and science fiction, “Run” aims to appeal to a diverse audience and is positioned as a vibrant chapter in the filmmakers’ ongoing efforts to revitalize interest in theatrical releases.

As the urban entertainment landscape continues to evolve, Stokes’ vision for “Run” may set the stage for more genre-blending films that cater to a growing fan base seeking fresh narratives.
