Cavaliers Secure Crucial Game 3 Win Against Pacers

INDIANAPOLIS — The Cleveland Cavaliers secured a much-needed victory on the road, defeating the Indiana Pacers 126-104 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Friday. The win came after the Cavaliers dropped the first two games of the series in Cleveland.
With several key players returning from injury, including Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and De'Andre Hunter, the Cavaliers took control early. Cleveland opened the game with an impressive 11-point run, with swingman Max Strus contributing eight of those points.
Despite Cleveland’s early dominance, the Pacers rallied to tie the game at the end of the first quarter, thanks to a late three-pointer from Ben Sheppard. However, the Cavaliers responded with a 15-2 run in the second quarter to regain a solid lead, going into halftime with a 66-45 advantage.
The momentum carried into the second half, with Cleveland maintaining their lead throughout the third quarter. Heading into the final period, the Cavaliers held an 18-point lead. Although the Pacers attempted a comeback, narrowing the gap to 11 points, the Cavaliers sealed their victory with strong defense and effective scoring.
Donovan Mitchell led the Cavaliers with 43 points, along with nine rebounds, five assists, and a steal. Allen added a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Mobley, returning from injury, tallied 18 points and 13 rebounds.
The series now stands at 2-1 in favor of the Pacers, with Game 4 set for Sunday at 8 p.m. inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Cleveland’s performance in Game 3 showcased their depth and resilience as they continue their pursuit of a playoff comeback.
