CBS Launches ‘Boston Blue’, A New Take on Family Drama

BOSTON, MA — CBS has premiered its latest series, ‘Boston Blue,’ a spinoff that retains the spirit of the beloved ‘Blue Bloods.’ The series introduces new characters while keeping familiar family dynamics that fans expect.

In this reimagining, Danny Reagan’s son, Sean, played by Andrew Terraciano, has officially grown up. The character is now a rookie police officer based in Boston, and his story takes a dramatic turn when he is hospitalized after a life-threatening incident in a fire.

As Sean fights for his life, Danny, portrayed by Donnie Wahlberg, rushes to the hospital. There, he learns about Sean’s best friend, Jonah Silver, who also comes from a lineage of law enforcement. Jonah, played by Troy Scribner, adds depth to the storyline as his family becomes a crucial part of the plot.

The Silver family brings new dynamics to ‘Boston Blue.’ Jonah’s mother, Mae, is the district attorney, while his sisters, Sarah and Lena, hold significant positions in law enforcement. Mae’s father, Reverend Peters, provides wisdom reminiscent of original series patriarch Frank Reagan.
